Tegen de Muur is a solo dance performance about the body's primal reactions on stress: fight, flight, and freeze, in a society that knows no pause. A dancer engages in a dialogue with an imposing wall, which symbolizes resistance. A sensory, site-specific experience that makes you feel how our bodies react under pressure and invites reflection. A 30-minute performance in which I explore how our bodies respond to the impact of stress.
How does our body move when it's under pressure, stuck, or trying to escape?
Research shows that prolonged stress has profound physical consequences, including hormonal disruption, energy loss, and the disruption of the basal recovery rhythm. According to recent research, 1 in 4 young adult employees experiences burnout symptoms. 

Mental health in our society has been in a worrying downward spiral for years.
The performance embodies the fight, flight, and freeze responses. I do this by taking a large object, a wall, as my starting point. This 3 by 6 meter wall symbolizes the blockage we experience when the body accumulates stress. By combining movement, space, and the resistance of the wall, the inner reality of stress becomes tangible.

TiNaNiNaNi is characterized by combining poetry and literature with contemporary dance. Their performances are experienced as magical and poetic. Always working from current themes connecting with . They create location theater, hall productions, performances for the elderly and children's performances.
